Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp., parent to the Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes chains, has named Tammy Bailey to the newly created position of chief marketing officer.
Bailey, who most recently was a division vice president of regional marketing for Jack in the Box, will serve as CMO under the company’s president and chief executive David Goronkin, who was appointed earlier this year.
Bailey brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to the job, having served for 14 years at Jack in the Box. Prior marketing posts included stints at Mattel, Hunt-Wesson and Coca-Cola Foods.
“Tammy is a proven and talented leader who will bring new perspectives to our team,” Goronkin said in a statement. “We’re delighted to have her on board as we work to take our brand to the next level.”
San Diego-based Garden Fresh operates or franchises about 126 salad-buffet restaurants in 15 states under the Souplantation or Sweet Tomatoes brands.
