Jamba Inc., parent of the Jamba Juice smoothie chain, Monday reported lower losses and significantly higher same-store sales at company and franchised locations for the first quarter. The Emeryville, Calif.-based operator and franchisor of smoothie and juice bars and fledgling consumer packaged goods provider said it had a net loss of $1.5 million, or 3 cents a share, for the 13 weeks ended April 3, compared with a loss of $6.5 million, or 11 cents a share, for 16 weeks ended April 19, ...
