Twisted Root Burger Co. of Dallas also strives to offer a quality meal at a reasonable price, but ditched the sophisticated interiors in favor of a casual, quirky atmosphere. Founder Jason Boso says the seven-unit chain was designed to be a place where you “can wear fl ip-fl ops and a baseball cap but not diminish the quality of the food.” That no-frills approach seems to be resonating with customers. The chain is projecting annual systemwide sales of $10 million for 2011.
