Brinker International Inc. reported Wednesday a 6.9-percent increase in profit for the second quarter ended Dec. 25. The casual-dining operator’s net income rose to $39.7 million, or 58 cents per share, from $37.2 million, or 50 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
