Phillips names Opitz chief operating officer

Phillips Foods named Paul Opitz chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1. Opitz, who most recently served as president of Phillips Asia, is responsible for enhancing operational efficiencies for the seafood processor.

Opitz joined Phillips more than 20 years ago when he opened its flagship restaurant in Baltimore. In 1994 he was named quality specialist for Phillips’ Asian operations. Today he is responsible for multiple Phillips-owned and -operated processing plants.
