Dairy Queen


The nation’s largest soft-serve chain was founded in 1938 and has grown to a chain of more than 4,400 locations in the United States and nearly another 2,000 in 19 foreign markets. In 1997, the investment firm led by Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (Ticker: BRK), bought a majority stake in Dairy Queen.
