KFC is the largest quick-service chicken chain in the United States, specializing in chicken on the bone marinated in a secret blend of herbs and spices developed decades ago by founder Col. Harland Sanders. It is a division of Louisville, Ky.-based Yum! Brands Inc. (Ticker: YUM), which also operates or franchises Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
