Steak n Shake

Steak ‘n Shake is a subsidiary of San Antonio, Texas-based Biglari Holdings Inc. [Ticker: BH]. The full-service restaurant brand has about 490 units and U.S. systemwide sales of $791 million. The company has also opened a “Signature” version aimed at the fast-casual market. The Steak n Shake brand is more than 75 years old; the first unit opened in 1934 in Normal, Ill. Biglari Holdings also owns the Western Sizzlin brand.
