Restaurateur Jimmy Patronis has represented Florida’s House District 6 since 2006, putting him in a unique position when it comes to the state and federal response to the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. The Patronis family opened the high-volume, 700-seat Capt. Anderson’s Restaurant & Waterfront Market in 1967 in Panama City, Fla., which is now feeling the effects of the oil catastrophe.
