DALLAS Food Friends and Co., parent of the Cozymel’s Mexican Grill concept, has named Troy Cooper president. Cooper most recently was president and chief operating officer of the Rockfish Seafood Grill chain.
Cooper began his restaurant career with Steak & Ale Restaurant Corp. and has also worked with Boston Market.
Cooper joins an executive team that includes Jack Baum, chairman and chief executive; Wyatt Truscheit, chief financial officer; Mary Russo, concept head for Woodlands American Grill; and Gina Wright, vice president of operations.
Food Friends and Co., based here, operates nine Cozymel's Mexican Grills, four Woodlands, two Wapango Latin Bistros, and two Mexico Cantinas.
