Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc. has named Emanuel “Manny” Hilario its chief financial officer.
Hilario most recently was founder and managing director of the Kojos Path LLC consultancy, but before that served five years as chief financial officer for McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants Inc. At Einstein Noah, he succeeds Richard P. Dutkiewicz, who resigned in March to become executive vice president and chief financial officer of Real Mex Restaurants Inc., the operator or franchisor of 223 Mexican casual-dining restaurants primarily under the Chevys Fresh Mex, El Torito and Acapulco brands.
Einstein Noah chief executive Jeff O’Neill called Hilario a “seasoned financial professional with proven expertise in all areas of financial risk management, corporate governance, and public company management.”
“He is highly regarded for his ability to develop and execute relevant strategies around revenue growth, profitability and in enhancing shareholder value,” O’Neill added about Hilario. “We look forward to his experience and contributions to the Leadership team as we continue building on our strong foundation of long-term growth opportunities.”
Prior to Joining McCormick & Schmick’s in 2004, Hilario for two years was vice president and chief financial officer at dinnerhouse-operator Angelo and Maxie’s Inc., which was formerly known as Chart House Enterprises Inc.
Lakewood, Colo.-based Einstein Noah Restaurant Group is the operator or franchisor of more than 690 fast-casual restaurants under the Einstein Bros. Bagels, Noah’s New York Bagels and Manhattan Bagel brands.
