CARROLLTON Texas T.G.I. Friday’s, the 889-unit division of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc. here, has opened its 300th international unit.
An opening Aug. 31 in Christchurch, Barbados, helped the casual-dining company hit the milestone. The company also recently opened units in Jordan and Estonia. Friday’s now has units in 58 countries.
“T.G.I. Friday's is one of the most widely recognized and successful brands in the world, and we are proud of this outstanding achievement,” said John Neitzel, president and chief operating officer of the international division for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide.
The Barbados unit is owned and operated by Prestige Holdings, a licensed T.G.I. Friday's franchisee.
Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc. also owns the Pick Up Stix chain.
