Morton’s names human resources VP

CHICAGO Morton’s Restaurant Group, Inc. recently named Kate Shehan vice president of human resources for the parent of the 83-unit Morton’s of Chicago upscale steakhouse chain.

Prior to joining Morton’s, Shehan was vice president and director of human resources and training for Crown Golf Properties in Glenview, Ill. Earlier in her career, she served as a human resources executive for several companies in the restaurant and food industry, including Chart House Restaurants, DavCo Restaurants Inc. and Sysco Corp.

In addition, Shehan has been on the board of directors for the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers for the past four years.

Shehan replaces Jeff Campbell, who left Morton’s to take the position of vice president of human resources at O’ Charley’s Inc., which is based in Nashville, Tenn.
