WEST ROXBURY Mass. Uno Chicago Grill is kicking off National Pizza Month with the debut of a multigrain flatbread pizza crust that will be available with any of the casual-dining brand’s flatbread pizza selections.
The all-natural, five-grain flatbread crust contains whole wheat, toasted wheat germ, oat bran, sesame seed and ground flax seed.
As part of the 202-unit chain's "Fall of Surprises" limited-time-only menu, Uno also is offering the new multigrain crust with its Harvest Vegetable Flatbread pizza. The pizza comes with such toppings as housemade salsa; cherry tomatoes roasted with garlic, basil and olive oil; caramelized onions; roasted red peppers; and cheese.
Commenting on the introduction, Uno's chief executive Frank Guidara said, "We bend over backwards to give our guests choices."
