DUBLIN Ohio Paul Kershisnik has been named interim chief marketing officer of Wendy’s International Inc. as the company continues its search to replace Ian Rowden, who resigned in December.
Wendy’s also promoted Bob Holtcamp to senior vice president of brand management from vice president.
Kershisnik and Holtcamp were put in charge of Wendy’s marketing after Rowden resigned to return to his native Australia. Rowden has since accepted a job as chairman and chief executive of ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi’s Asia-Pacific region and will be based in Sydney. Rowden had hired Saatchi & Saatchi in early 2007 as Wendy’s lead ad agency.
Before being named interim CMO, Kershisnik had been senior vice president of marketing strategy and innovation. Wendy’s said that he is a candidate to replace Rowden permanently. In his interim role he will report to president and chief executive Kerrii Anderson.
Wendy’s has not said when it will hire a new chief marketing officer.
