Domino’s Pizza Inc. continued its unit expansion and same-store sales growth in the second quarter ended June 15, leading to a 15.6-percent increase in net income, to $38.5 million, or 67 cents per share.
The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based operator opened 133 locations across the world, including 122 net new units in its international division, which recorded its 82nd consecutive quarter of increased same-store sales. As of the end of the quarter, Domino’s had 11,121 restaurants in more than 70 countries, including 5,002 company-owned and franchised units in the United States.
