Based in Pasadena, Calif., with more than 25 units, Dog Haus kicked off 2018 by launching a year-long collaborative chef series on Jan. 1. Through the run of the initiative, the hot dog, sausage and burger concept will partner with eight chefs total, each representing a region of the U.S. where Dog Haus is located, to bring limited-time menu items to all units. Each special offer will be available for two months at a time, with a dollar from each purchased item going to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger.
The series began with a collaboration with chef Bruce Kalman of Union in Pasadena to create the Porchetta ‘Bout It, a custom porchetta sausage topped with Kalman’s Italian giardiniera, or relish, garlic aioli and chicharrón.
