This quick-service burger chain is offering a $4.20 Snack Sack, comprised of  six jalapeño poppers, a small order of fries and onion rings, available through April 24 at participating locations. Guests who order via the chain’s app between April 20 and 24 get free delivery. 

“Carl’s Jr. is known for big, bold flavors and equally big, bold brand moments,” Carl’s Jr. vice president of brand marketing Anthony Nguyen said in a release announcing the promotion. “4/20 is a moment that resonates with our guests. They tend to live a little larger, and this is us tapping into that energy to bring them delicious food with a fun, limited time campaign.” ​

Carl’s Jr. is a subsidiary of CKE Restaurants Inc., based in Franklin, Tenn. There are around 1,700 Carl’s Jr. locations worldwide.

Fuku 

The fried chicken sandwich concept that’s part of David Chang’s Momofuku Group, based in New York City, is teaming up with Dough Doughnuts, also based in New York, for the Wake + Bacon Sando, which is spicy habanero-brined chicken, a fried egg, bacon, waffle has browns, and mayonnaise sandwiched by a doughnut in a Szechuan peppercorn glaze. It’s $14.20, and only available at its Hudson Yards and Rockefeller Center locations in New York City. 

Insomnia Cookies

The cookie delivery chain has special treats available through April 23. Price varies by location.

The Crunchie Munchie Deluxe is a large sugar cookie with salted caramel baked in it. It’s topped with crushed potato chips

The Baked to Perfection 12-pack is a build-your-own bundle that comes in a commemorative box sleeve.

Jack in the Box

Pineapple Express is a strain of cannabis with a distinctive pineapple flavor that was developed specifically to match the description of a fictional cannabis strain in the 2008 film Pineapple Express, staring James Franco and Seth Rogan. 

It is also the name of a line of new and returning items available at this 2180-unit quick-service burger chain based in San Diego. 

The Pineapple Express Shake is a vanilla shake with pineapple flavor topped with whipped cream and a cherry, priced at $4.20 through April 24, but it will be available nationwide through June 11 priced at to franchisees’ discretion.

The Pineapple Express Red Bull Infusion is an iced beverage made with Red Bull Yellow Edition and pineapple and passion fruit flavors. It’s also priced at the discretion of franchises, as is the Pineapple Express Chicken Sandwich, available only at select locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City, Utah, made with breaded and fried chicken breast, smokey pineapple barbecue sauce, roasted pineapple, and bacon on a pineapple Hawaiian bun.

Jimmy John’s

This quick-service chain, part of Atlanta-based Inspire Brands, is offering a sandwich called The Munchie Crusher on April 20 only. It’s made of turkey, a provolone cheese-avocado spread, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, sliced pickles, and oregano-basil mayonnaise. Users of the app can use the promo code FREESIDE for a free side item with any sandwich purchase. The chain recommends selecting chips to put on the sandwich itself.

Customers at the restaurant’s Long Beach Calif., location, on 421 W. Broadway, will be treated to a joint rolling demonstration, using exclusive Jimmy John’s rolling papers, by celebrity joint roller Ranagade, who is reportedly rapper Snoop Dogg’s personal roller.

Mellow Mushroom

This Atlanta-based pizza chain is marking the stoner holiday with a deal on its pretzel bites served with regular or spicy Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cheese. Only on April 20, and only for online orders, guests who use the code MEL420 get the bites for $4.20.

The pretzel bites are made with the chain’s pizza dough and tossed in garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. The spicy beer cheese is made with its Rad Relish, a giardiniera style pickled pepper blend, and garnished with pickled jalapeño peppers

Smashburger

The Denver-based chain is offering its burgers at a discount: Four for $20.

Pictured is a recent limited-time offer that seems appropriate for the holiday: The S’mac & Cheese Burger, which is griddled Certified Angus Beef patty topped with mac & cheese that also has been smashed on the griddle to make it crispy, plus American cheese, on a toasted bun.

Velvet Taco

Every week, this Dallas-based fast-casual chain says WTF, meaning its weekly taco feature, which changes each Wednesday. This week it’s the 420 Blazin’ taco which is a flour tortilla stuffed with mac & cheese, chicken tenders breaded in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, red chile aïoli, and Fruity Pebble cereal. It’s $4.95 and will be available through April 25.

White Castle

This slider chain based in Columbus, Ohio, has many claims to fame, not least of which is the fact that it’s the only quick-service restaurant that spawned a movie franchise, starting with the 2004 film “Harold & Kumar go to White Castle,” which is now a stoner classic. 

White Castle representatives said they weren’t consulted about the film and had no part in its conception, but the chain nonetheless is not leaving its legion of stoner fans hanging on 4/20, when those who order online with the code CRAVINGS get a 20% discount.

Zalat Pizza

This 28-unit chain based in Dallas offers a special 4/20 pizza every year, and this time it’s the Drunken Masterclass, topped with mozzarella cheese, beef pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, jalapeño peppers, “more red onions than you think you need (just trust us), cracked black pepper and two sides of Sirancha (ranch dressing mixed with Sriracha sauce).

Cannabis is not legal in Texas at all, but Zalat founder and CEO Khanh Nguyen said the pizza celebrates what you crave after a night of heavy drinking, too. 

“We tried this pizza sober and after drinks,” he said in a press release announcing the pizza. “It’s a great pizza either way, but it’s absolutely amazing after you’ve had a few.”

In fact, the Drunken Masterclass is being added as a permanent item on the chain’s menu.
