Honey butter is becoming a staple on menus when paired with fried chicken or baked goods, and it has plenty of potential in other savory applications and in-house customization with other flavors like herbs, spices or citrus.
Honey butter is in the Adoption stage. It’s gaining traction on menus but is still considered unique. It can be found at independent casual-dining and progressive fast-casual restaurants.

Earlier this May, the uptown and downtown locations of Tao in New York City, operated by multiconcept company Tao Group, offered a special Mother’s Day brunch that featured a fortune cookie blueberry pancake with orange honey butter.
