Pizza Hut, which operates over 16,700 restaurants in more than 100 countries, is the official pizza of the NCAA. The Plano, Texas-based quick-service chain is celebrating its sponsorship of March Madness with the second edition of its Pie Tops sneakers. The shoes, featured in colors red and “wheat,” contain buttons that can order pizza and pause live TV. Fifty pairs of the wearable technology will be available on hbx.com during the week of March 19, with additional purchasing details posted on social media.
Pizza Hut is using the buzz over this wearable technology to promote its latest deal: two medium two-topping pies priced at $5.99 each.
