Dunkin’ explores beverage trends with coffee and tea tests

Popping Bubble Iced Tea: Iced green tea with strawberry “bubbles” that burst in your mouth. The bubbles also can be added to Dunkin’ Refreshers, which combined iced green tea, flavored fruit concentrate and B vitamins. They’re served with an extra-wide paper straw large enough for the bubbles to fit through.

Availability: In test in the Maine communities of Brewer, Hampden, Lincoln and Old Town and the Massachusetts communities of Haydenville, Northampton and Westfield

Sparkling Dunkin’ Refreshers: Dunkin’ Refreshers (iced green tea, flavored fruit concentrate and B vitamins) with sparkling water added. Both flavors, Peach Passion Fruit and Strawberry Dragonfruit, have fewer than 200 calories.

Availability: In test in Pittsfield, Mass., and the New York communities of Albany, Colonie, Clifton Park, Latham and Schenectady

Sparkling Iced Coffee: Sparkling water with cold brew extract and sugar

Availability: In test in the Connecticut communities of Plainsville and Southington and the Rhode Island communities of Cumberland, Johnston, North Providence and Smithfield

Cold Brew Shandy: Cold brew coffee mixed with lemonade

Green Tea Blueberry Shandy: Iced green tea with blueberry flavoring

Availability: In test in the Connecticut communities of Cheshire, Meriden, Middletown and Portland and the Massachusetts communities of Lynn and Salem

Coconut Cocoa Infused Cold Brew: Ground coffee beans, coconut and cocoa steeped for between 12 hours and 15 hours

Availability: In test in the Connecticut communities of Hartford, Marlborough, New Milford, Unionville and West Hartford and the Massachusetts communities of Berkley, Hanover, Middleboro and Weymouth

Cold Brew Teas: Tea leaves infused using cold water for a smoother flavor, available in Peach Ginger and Raspberry Rose flavors, neither of which has sugar added

Availability: In test in the Connecticut communities of Berlin, Manchester, New Britain and Newington and the New York communities of Gansevoort, Greenwich, Malta, Milton and Saratoga Springs

Extra Charged Coffee: Hot or iced coffee with 20% more caffeine thanks to the addition of flavorless green coffee extract

Availability: In test in the Rhode Island communities of Johnston, North Smithfield, Richmond, Warwick and West Warwick

Bubble Iced Coffee and Tea: Iced coffee and tea sweetened with brown sugar syrup and brown sugar-flavored tapioca bubbles, served with an extra-wide paper straw that the bubbles can fit through

Layered Iced Tea: Green tea topped with fruit juice, available in two flavors: Grapefruit Sunrise and Blueberry Sunset
