MOD Pizza updates rewards program for faster, custom reward options

MOD Pizza rewards are now unlocked at 50 points, and customers can choose to donate their rewards to charity

MOD Pizza announced Wednesday that the Seattle-based fast-casual pizza chain has updated its rewards program from MOD Rewards to MOD SuperFast Rewards, which — as the name implies — allows customers to start earning rewards faster than before, starting at 50 points (or $50 spent).

The updated rewards program is also more personalized, giving customers more reward options, and allows rewards members to choose to donate their reward to charity, an on-brand initiative for the community-oriented company. Customers will also receive exclusive offers and special deals throughout the year, which aligns with the restaurant industry’s overarching loyalty trend of helping rewards members feel special, and not just like they’re getting coupons occasionally.

“While we’ve seen the trend of restaurant rewards becoming more elusive, MOD’s new and improved program is truly focused on recognizing and rewarding our most loyal customers. Since the launch of MOD Rewards in 2019, we’ve continued to listen to the feedback and have responded by expanding our benefits to provide added value,” Kevin Flaherty, senior vice president of digital and off-premises at MOD Pizza said in a statement. “In keeping with our community mindset, we’ve also created exciting new opportunities for our customers to give back and make a difference on a local scale.”

Here's the breakdown of the new rewards structure:

  • 50 points gets rewards members a free cake, free non-alcoholic drink, free crust upgrade, or $1 donation to one of MOD’s Opportunity Network partners (including organizations like Goodwill Industries International and FareStart)
  • 100 points gets rewards members free cheesy bread, free delivery or a $2 donation
  • 150 points gets members a free pizza, free salad or any single menu item, or a $3 donation.

In celebration of this rewards program revamp, MOD Pizza is offering a summer of special deals and discounts from July 10 through Aug. 28 at all 540 MOD locations, though no specific details are available right now.
