Some early birds may need to change their breakfast habits. Taco Bell announced Thursday that it is allowing franchisees to opt out of the breakfast daypart beginning in October. However, the company said “only a small minority” have dropped breakfast, adding that it is still very much committed to the morning business and continues to test items while ramping up its coffee program.

Burger King is giving discounts to Walmart customers. The retail giant said on Thursday that it is giving members of its Walmart+ program 25% discounts on Burger King items ordered through the chain’s mobile app or website, provided they link their accounts with Burger King’s Royal Perks loyalty program.

CAVA raised its guidance for the year — this time, pretty significantly — after an outstanding second quarter. The Washington, D.C.-based chain reported same-store sales up 14.4%, driven by a 9.5% increase in traffic. That same-store sales number laps an 18.2% increase in the second quarter a year ago, putting the two-year increase over 32%.
