TGI Fridays bankruptcy, Twin Peaks spinoff, Red Lobster COO

TGI Fridays filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Saturday, citing debt and fallout from the pandemic. The casual-dining chain plans to continue operating its restaurants while it restructures and seeks a likely sale.

Twin Peaks is one step closer to becoming a public company. FAT Brands will spin off Twin Peaks and Smokey Bones in a joint IPO under the new company name, Twin Hospitality Group.

Red Lobster has named Larry Konecny chief operating officer. It’s the latest appointment from CEO Damola Adamolekun as he works to rebuild the executive team of the company that emerged from bankruptcy under new ownership in September. 

Bojangles has named Grant Williams as vice president of digital and omnichannel marketing. The Charlotte, N.C.-based quick-service brand said Williams will lead the company's digital efforts, focusing on enhancing customer engagement and driving marketing strategies across all platforms.
