Influencers gather at Power Lunch

NRN hosts inaugural luncheon with high-profile restaurant industry executives

Nation’s Restaurant News hosted its first annual Power Lunch on May 21, at the W Hotel Chicago Lakeside. 

Attendees hailed from restaurant brands featured in the NRN Power List, Golden Chain Awards, Breakout Brands, Hot Concepts and Consumer Picks, including White Castle, Holler & Dash Biscuit House and Cava Mezze Grill.

“At this lunch, we celebrate you for being the sparks of creativity in the restaurant industry. You are the influencers setting the bar high. Some of you are from big, established chains that are decades and decades old. Some are from emerging concepts just starting to spread your wings,” said NRN editor-in-chief Jenna Telesca.

“But all of you continue to reinvent yourselves every day. As you well know, this is not a business that stands still. It takes a lot of late nights and passion and hustle to bring the best food into the world.” 

NRN editors talked with these restaurant industry leaders, innovators and disruptors about recent initiatives, culinary trends and where foodservice is headed.
