Yushi, a "contemporary style 'Bento Bar' " that specializes in creating Japanese-style lunchboxes, emphasizes freshness and the use of organic ingredients. The menu items at Yushi are adaptations of traditional Japanese dishes with some Asian influence. For example, the Firecracker Miso Soup includes glass noodles with lime and ginger that creates a combination of traditional miso soup with Southeast Asian flavors.
Yushi also provides several beverage options including fresh-made juices, smoothies and crushies.
The Pineapple and Mint Crush is made by blending fresh pineapple, mint leaves, lime juice and ice. The drink is garnished with a sprig of mint and a pineapple wedge and is available for $3.95.
Yushi currently boasts two locations, both in New York, but has plans to expand.
