The chain's new menu features a sides-only meal option called the Country Vegetable Plate. To make the meal, customers choose any four country vegetables and sides, along with a choice of buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. The meal costs $7.59, according to Cracker Barrel’s website.
“Fall’s arrival signals a host of fresh flavors that take advantage of the season’s bounty in recipes for breakfast through dinner,” said Cracker Barrel Chef Bill Kintzler in a statement. “Front and center this fall are our six fresh new sides…There’s a pretty good chance everyone in the family will find a flavor they really enjoy.”
New breakfast sides include fresh-sliced apples, fresh pineapple and low-fat vanilla yogurt. Lunch and dinner sides include brown rice pilaf, baked sweet potato with brown-sugar cinnamon, and a “tomato n’ onion” salad.
New fall breakfast meals are:
Apple Streusel French Toast Breakfast, $7.69, which includes three slices of apple streusel bread topped with cinnamon apple dumpling syrup and butter. The dish is served with two eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage patties.
Country Meat n’ Biscuits, $5.99, which comes with two buttermilk biscuits served with fried chicken, country ham or sausage patties. The dish is also served with two eggs and a choice of warm fried apples or hashbrown casserole.
New lunch and dinner meal options, other than the Country Vegetable Plate, are:
Apple Cider-Braised Pork Roast, which is served glazed and baked with Gala apples, dried cranberries and pecans.
Broccoli Cheddar Chicken, which comes with a chicken breast and broccoli florets, topped with crumbled crackers and cheese sauce.
Both the Apple Cider-Braised Pork Roast and Broccoli Cheddar Chicken cost $8.99 and are served with two country-vegetable sides and buttermilk biscuits or cornbread.
The new menu also features a new dessert: Pumpkin Custard n’ Gingersnaps for $2.99. The dish comes with pumpkin custard, gingersnap crumble and caramel mousse.
