IRVING Texas CEC Entertainment Inc. on Thursday named Michael Beacham senior vice president and chief operating officer of international development, with the goal of expanding the 540-unit family-oriented Chuck E. Cheese’s chain abroad.
In addition to directing the company’s growth internationally, Beacham also will manage domestic franchise growth. CEC has company-owned stores in Canada and franchisee-owned stores in Dubai, Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia as well as Latin America.
“Michael’s extensive background in international development will be a tremendous asset to our team in furthering our development of Chuck E. Cheese’s globally,” said Mike Magusiak, CEC’s president and chief executive. “I believe we have a long-term opportunity to expand internationally.”
Chuck E. Cheese’s, based in Irving, offers a menu of pizzas and sandwiches and features arcade-style games and activities.
