ROYAL PALM BEACH Fla. One hundred lucky patrons will get free tortilla soup for a year when the new Max & Erma’s casual-dining restaurant here has its grand opening on Feb. 16.
The first 100 people in line at the 11 a.m. special event will get the free soup-for-a-year benefit, said franchisees Andrew Levy and Ed Norris.
The Royal Palm Beach Max & Erma’s, which opened Monday, is the 103rd restaurant for the chain and the first unit in Florida. It features a new restaurant design and seats about 200 people. Royal Palm Beach is an incorporated village in South Florida and a suburb of West Palm Beach.
Levy and Norris also own and operate two Max & Erma's in Pennsylvania and plan more for South Florida. Norris said, “The Royal Palm Beach community has really welcomed Max & Erma's, and there's been a tremendous outpouring of interest.”
Columbus, Ohio-based Max & Erma's was acquired last year by G&R Acquisition of Pittsburgh.
