Papa Murphy’s testing menu design, printing services portal

News

VANCOUVER Papa Murphy's Take 'N Bake Pizza is beta testing an Internet portal at which company store managers and franchisees can design and order printed copies of menus reflecting regional food, pricing and optional information, such as nutrition data.

The Trabon MenuNet portal developed by printing services firm Trabon Cos. of Kansas City, Mo., should go live within two months, said Evan Evans, vice president of field marketing for Papa Murphy’s International, franchisor of the 1,135-unit chain. “One of the goals is streamlining the menu ordering, printing and tracking process,” he said, but others include achieving better freight costs for menu shipments and a “more consistent brand delivery.”

Trabon MenuNet is free to users under the terms of the agreement between Papa Murphy’s and Trabon, the chain’s approved provider of printing supplies and services. Sources at Trabon said database-driven MenuNet can supply Papa Murphy’s management with reports useful for marketing and operations, including those detailing regional or systemwide pricing trends or the optional menu items most often selected by operators.
