Steel and wood timber design elements make the space modern and enhance the modernization of the classic company.

There are approximately 5,000 “Experience of the Future” restaurants open and the company plans to transform almost all freestanding units to this model by 2020.

Along with permeable pavers to reduce storm water runoff and solar panels, the new location is putting an emphasis on energy performance and renewable energy.

The location was designed by the Chicago-based Ross Barney Architects, most known for their design of the Chicago Riverwalk. The interior was designed by the Sydney-based Landini Associates, a frequent McDonald’s collaborator.
