LA coffee chain Go Get Em Tiger wants to elevate the caffeine fix

Sixty percent of orders at the coffee chain are coffee-only, but Go Get ‘Em Tiger prides itself on having artisanal food options that draw in a crowd just as much as its coffee options. Breakfast and lunch foods are served daily including a yeast raised waffle with either maple syrup and butter or berries, ricotta and honey and Cured Lox Toast (pictured) with salmon, chimichurri, seeded granola, pickled mustard seed, fried capers on sourdough.

Specialty drinks showcase the chain’s quirky and consumer-facing brand identity that was founded by two men who, in their own words, came from the “fringey, most mad scientist part of the coffee world”.

The coffee chain said it plans to have over 30 units by the end of 2021 and over 70 within the next five years, potentially even moving beyond Los Angeles.

The LA-based chain is creating a reusable cup policy for 2020 that allows customers to “rent” a cup until their next visit where they will then return the cup to be washed in the kitchen and provided a new, clean cup.

Go Get ‘Em Tiger has a premium coffee subscription service where customers can pick from three kinds of beans. It is available to be shipped weekly, every two weeks or once a month.

The chain’s signature offering is a coffee-and-tea flight. First up is a double shot of espresso followed by a fizzy and hoppy tea and finished by a cappuccino with house made almond macadamia milk.

Go Get ‘Em Tiger’s website provides current and potential customers with educational videos. These videos include a series on how to brew coffee at home and different milk methods. Each series aims to help consumers understand artisanal coffee and obtain the best outcome in each cup.
