Jack in the Box chief financial officer and executive vice president Lance Tucker has announced his departure from the San Diego, Calif.-based quick-service chain. The CFO will be resigning from his position within six weeks and senior members of the company’s finance department will take up the reins while Jack in the Box finds a replacement.
Company controller Dawn Hooper — who has been with Jack in the Box for over two decades — has been appointed principle financial officer effective on Tucker’s last day as CFO in the interim.
“While we have only worked together for a short time, I appreciate Lance’s leadership and strategic thinking,” Jack in the Box CEO Darrin Harris, who joined the company last month, said in a statement. “He has made a positive impact on the business and the executive leadership team here at Jack in the Box. We wish him the best of luck and are certain the finance team will be in good hands until his successor is named.”
Tucker was with Jack in the Box for two years as EVP and CFO. Prior to that, he worked at Papa John’s in multiple executive positions, including CFO for nearly 10 years. There is no further information on where Tucker will be heading next.
