WOWorks LLC, parent to such brands as Saladworks and Frutta Bowls, has named Brian Farris as chief development officer, the company announced Tuesday..
The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based WOWorks, the holding company of Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh and The Simple Greek as well, said Farris, left, has more than 20 years of operational and development experience and most recently served as brand president for Intelligent Office.
Farris succeeds Eric Lavinder in the role. Lavinder now serves as chief development officer for Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Duck Donuts.
"Brian's extensive experience in operations and development with established fast-casual restaurants and franchise companies is the perfect fit for WOWorks' current stage of accelerated growth,” said Kelly Roddy, WOWorks CEO, in a statement. “His passion for clean, healthy eating aligns with WOWorks mission to bring fresh, nutritious and flavorful meals to guests everywhere.”
Farris will report to Roddy and oversee franchise sales, real estate procurement and development support for all four brands. Prior to his role at Intelligent Office, Farris served as vice president of operations at Schlotzsky's and vice president of international operations at Focus Brands. Farris has also worked with Quiznos and Boston Market.
"I was attracted to WOWorks's family of restaurant brands because of their focus in offering nutrient-dense ingredients with a high level of customization that can meet a variety of dietary needs – from vegan to dairy-free,” Farris said.
WOWorks was formed in 2020 and is owned by Centre Lane Partners LLC.
The company in November announced a partnership with the Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance, which was founded to increase the number of Black restaurant owners.
