What the Wendyverse means for the restaurant industry

A month into the latest development, what does it all mean?

The Wendy’s Co. in July expanded its virtual Wendyverse with a Frosty Village and added competitive activities to the Horizons World platform. Now that the program is a month old, what does it all mean and how can players participate?

Wendy’s first launched the Wendyverse in April and expanded it in June with the Sunrise City section.

The company said “achievements” are now available with Frosty Village, so players can compete in activities throughout the Wendyverse and monitor their progress. The virtual offering comes with French fry skis, spoon ramps, and snowboarding.

“Anyone with a Quest 2 will be able to skate in on the fun — simply visit the Wendyverse hub world, which offers a portal to Frosty Village, or search directly for the experience in Horizon Worlds,” the company said.

The introduction of Frosty Village also comes with a smartphone app offer of a free medium fry with the purchase of a Strawberry Frosty.
