Firebirds, founded in 2000, has 56 locations across 20 states and is known for its wood-burning grill and firebar. Its signature items include hand-cut steaks, seafood and chicken and ribs. According to a news release, Garnett Station’s acquisition will enable Firebirds to accelerate growth and development.
In other news, KFC has been testing Kentucky Fried Chicken Nuggets in the Charlotte, North Carolina, market since July, and the results have proven successful enough for a nationwide, permanent rollout. KFC’s new nuggets are made with 100% white meat chicken and the brand’s signature 11 herbs and spices. They start at $3.49 and are available in 5-, 8-, 12- or 36-piece options at participating restaurants.
Also, Though he may no longer be CEO, Howard Schultz’s last culinary invention for Starbucks is coming to the U.S. this week. Oleato beverages — cold-pressed olive oil-infused coffee — will be available at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries on March 23, and in 75 Seattle and 475 Los Angeles area stores.
