Applebee's Really Big Meal Deal

Applebee’s is extending its $9.99 Really Big Meal Deal

The chain has also introduced two new skillets and new cocktails ahead of Valentine’s Day

Applebee’s is extending its $9.99 Really Big Meal Deal, first introduced in mid-November, which includes the choice of a Big Cluckin’ Sandwich or Big Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, endless fries, and a fountain drink.

The chain has also introduced a new Sizzlin’ Caramel Apple Pie for $5.99 and a new Hot Honey Chicken & Bacon Skillet. The Sizzlin’ Caramel Apple Pie features layers of hot cinnamon apple pie, drizzled with caramel sauce, candied pecans, and topped with vanilla ice cream. The Hot Honey Chicken & Bacon Skillet features a sliced grilled chicken breast topped with hot honey glaze, Applewood-smoked bacon, and parsley, and served sizzling with sautéed mushroom and onions, and waffle fries on a cast iron skillet.

“There’s nothing like Applebee’s delicious Sizzlin’ Skillets,” vice president of culinary and chef Shannon Johnson said in a statement. “Our new Hot Honey Chicken and Bacon Skillet is the perfect balance of heat and sweet married with the savory proteins our guests know and love, while our new Sizzlin’ Caramel Apple Pie is the perfect sweet treat packed with flavor and texture, served in a mini skillet.”

The new skillets and Really Big Meal Deal extension are part of Applebee’s value strategy adjustment. During parent company Dine Brands’ third quarter earnings call, executives acknowledged missing the mark amid a “noisy” environment and vowed to focus more on full meal value propositions versus promotions on specific menu items.

“I believe significant upside exists when paired with the consistency, simplicity, and all-encompassing value we know our guests want and our brands are capable of delivering,” chief executive officer John Peyton said during that call. “We're applying our learnings to this with a shift to more full meal value offers and we'll continue to evolve our value propositions to keep our guests engaged.”

Also, beginning today, Applebee’s is offering a new $6 Tipsy Cupid, vodka lemonade made with Smirnoff Vodka, triple sec, strawberry, premium lemon sour, and lemonade garnished with gummi red lips and served in Applebee’s signature Mucho glass, and a new $10 Passion on the Beach, featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka, peach schnapps, passion fruit, orange and cranberry juices, garnished with red gummi lips and served with a chilled shaker tin for multiple pours. Applebee’s has also introduced a new $4 Bahama Beach Mocktail, a non-alcoholic Bahama Mama made with grenadine and a blend of pineapple, lime, and orange juices topped with Starry lemon lime soda.

“There’s no better way to cheers to 2025 than with our new Smoocho Sips,” executive director of bar and beverage Nate Grover said in a statement. “Our sips are the perfect premium cocktail for the ultimate night out.”
