CANTON Mass. Dunkin’ Donuts this week introduced a Frozen Cappuccino, the chain's first new frozen beverage since it debuted the Coolatta in 1997.
The Frozen Cappuccino is available in 16-ounce, 24-ounce and 32-ounce sizes for $3.19, $3.99 and $4.49, respectively, Dunkin' said.
In addition to a traditional espresso coffee flavor, the frozen drink also comes in caramel and mocha.
“The frozen coffee category is growing,” said McCall Gosselin, a Dunkin' spokeswoman. “With Frozen Cappuccino, Dunkin’ Donuts offers consumers a stronger, bolder espresso coffee taste in a frozen beverage.”
Gosselin would not say how long the new beverage had been in test prior to the launch.
Dunkin’ Donuts is a division of Canton-based Dunkin’ Brands, parent of the quick-serve doughnut chain. It currently operates more than 8,800 restaurants in 31 countries worldwide.
