DENVER Qdoba Mexican Grill is adding a Chicken Mango Salad, available with either regular or light sour cream.
The selection consists of the chain's adobo chicken and shredded romaine lettuce, dressed with mango salsa, cheese, sour cream and lime vinaigrette, all served in a tortilla bowl. Most locations are selling the limited-time promotional item for $6.29, Qdoba said.
"Served naked and with the option of lite sour cream, customers can make our Chicken Mango Salad even healthier," said Ted Stoner, director of research and development for the fast-casual chain.
Ninety-five percent of the consumers who participated in sales tests of the new salad said they would order the salad again, Qdoba said.
Qdoba is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jack in the Box Inc., and has over 360 stores in 40 states.
