MOUNTAINSIDE N.J. CB Holding Corp., parent of Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, Bugaboo Creek Steak House and other brands, said Wednesday it has named Sam Borgese president and chief executive.
Borgese will be charged with leading the executive team in implementing the strategic planning necessary to manage and grow the company’s brands.
Before joining CB Holding, Borgese served as president and chief executive of Catalina Restaurant Group, the San Diego-based parent of the Coco’s Restaurant & Bakery and Carrows brands.
Michael Maselli, chairman of CB Holding and managing director of Trimaran Capital Partners, the company’s principal shareholder, said the company is “confident that [Borgese's] leadership skills and restaurant expertise coupled with his drive, dedication and understanding of our brands will result in the success of the business.”
CB Holding's restaurant portfolio includes 49 Charlie Brown’s locations, 30 Bugaboo Creek Steakhouses, seven Office Beer Bar & Grill units and one Jolley Trolley restaurant in operation.
