CHICAGO The Women's Foodservice Forum has named former chairwoman Pat Anton as the 2007 recipients of its 2007 Trailblazer. Lynette McKee, vice president of franchising and new business development at Dunkin' Donuts parent Dunkin' Brands Inc., was named this year's recipient of the Emerging Leader Award.
Anton is co-founder and former president and chief executive of Anton Airfood, a major operator of airport concessions. She is now president of the Anton Family Foundation.
WFF is an organization of more than 3,000 that strives to foster opportunity for women in foodservice. It bestows its Trailblazer award on individuals dedicated to improving the industry through their support of gender diversity, creating new pathways for women in their company, and implementing them at all levels of their organization.
Women consistently make up approximately 50 percent of the manager/supervisor positions at Anton Airfood.
The Emerging Leader Award is given to a female executive in the foodservice industry who shows exceptional leadership qualities.
The awards will be presented to Anton and McKee at the Emerging Leader Awards Dinner April 17 at the WFF Annual Leadership Development Conference in Orlando, Fla.
