Many restaurant operators this year have designs on restaurant remodels. A quarter of them ranked it as their top priority in Nation’s Restaurant News’ 2016 Operator Survey.
Of the 267 respondents to the online survey who prioritized their investments for the year, 25 percent said restaurant design spending was the top priority. Fifteen percent put equipment upgrades at the top of their capital improvement list.
After the recession, a number of brands have been putting additional dollars into refreshing and refurbishing their restaurants to enhance consumer appeal.
Recent remodeling efforts have been reported among various segments, including California Pizza Kitchen and TGI Fridays in casual dining, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in family dining, Wendy’s in quick service and Cicis in pizza buffet.
Take a look at some notable revamps.
