October was a relatively quiet month for executives on the move across restaurant companies, but it doesn’t mean the ones that did move weren’t headline-making. On the contrary, the people who changed jobs made big splashes.
Kitchen United, one of the first ghost-kitchen operators, announced that its CEO Jim Collins, largely credited with making Kitchen United the giant it is today, had left the company and it had already named a new CEO from inside the company.
BurgerFi, which in September named a new President, named a new CEO the next month. The former Burger King executive joined the team of the rapidly expanding fast-casual chain as leadership has begun to bulk up this past year.
There was plenty of movement amongst quick-service players. McDonald’s named two new executives, a new chief learning and development officer, and an executive vice president and chief global impact officer. Wendy’s named a new chief information officer from another QSR chain, Domino’s. Papa John’s, Qdoba and Starbucks also announced new executives in high-ranking positions.
