The restaurant industry saw chief executive turnover at eight restaurant companies in November, including departures at Subway, CKE Restaurants, and Salad and Go, a permanent placement at Chipotle, promotions at Tom’s Watch Bar, and newcomers at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Tacodeli, and Emmy Squared.
Elsewhere, there were a lot of changes in operations departments, with Red Lobster adding a COO to fill out its new C-suite, and Jack in the Box’s operations chief departing as a result of restructuring. Moe’s Southwest Grill also promoted a chief brand officer to lead operations.
At Panera Brands, two familiar faces were added to the board, including recently-retired David Deno of Bloomin’ Brands. Wendy’s, Jack in the Box, and Emmy Squared added chief financial officers. There’s a new development chief at Nothing Bundt Cakes, and a new commercial chief at GoTo Foods. And Krispy Kreme’s chief growth officer is leaving the company.
