Sonic Corp. has promoted Claudia San Pedro to president and Corey Horsch to succeed her as chief financial officer, the company said Friday.
San Pedro had served as CFO of the Oklahoma City-based quick-service operator since 2015 and began with the company as treasurer 12 years ago. The position had been open since Todd Smith left last year.
“Claudia’s focus on building relationships, business acumen and strategic mindset position the company well for future growth,” said J. Clifford Hudson, Sonic’s CEO, in a statement. “Claudia is a highly skilled leader with an eye for developing talent, as evidenced by our ability to seamlessly transition Corey into the CFO role.”
In her new role, San Pedro is responsible for franchisee relations, supply chain, franchise sales and development, and business planning. She will also provide oversight of the finance function.
Horsch joined Sonic in 2015 as vice president of investor relations and treasurer. In his new role, he is responsible for all financial planning, internal auditing, accounting and tax planning, while maintaining leadership for the investor relations and treasury functions.
Sonic has 3,500 restaurants nationwide.
