Wetzel’s partnered with Dan Medina, known for his bronze sculptures such as the Antonio Aguilar monument in Los Angeles, to design custom door handles that create a pretzel when the doors are closed.

Wetzel’s Pretzels president Jennifer Schuler called the Downtown Disney location, which has been there for 17 years, the company’s new flagship store. She called it the “perfect embodiment of our Wetz Coast vibe.”

The goal of the design was to emulate the fluidity of the indoor-outdoor West Coast lifestyle with tile work, and contemporary fixtures.
