17 C-suite changes in the restaurant industry in February

RBI’s internal promotion of its new CEO was the biggest news of the month

This month, the biggest C-suite news in the restaurant industry was that Restaurant Brands International, parent to Burger King, Popeyes, Tim Horton’s and Firehouse Subs, named a new chief executive officer — 36-year-old Joshua Kobza.

California-based Norm’s Restaurant Group also named a new CEO this month.

In other news, the CEO of Goodcents retired to take over a position at her son-in-law’s eyeglass business.

Biscuitville named seven people to its leadership team, including four to the C-suite.

Whataburger named a new chief operating officer, as did fast-casual Indian restaurant RASA. Papa Johns’ COO announced his departure after less than a year in the role. His replacement has not been named.

Church’s Texas Chicken named a new chief financial officer, Bubbakoo’s Burritos named a new chief marketing officer, and Brinker named a new chief supply chain officer.
