Peter Gaudreau joins Tacodeli as CEO

The restaurant industry veteran’s record includes stints at breakfast-and-lunch chains Ruby Slipper and Snooze

Peter Gaudreau is chief executive officer of Tacodeli, a 14-unit fast-casual chain based in Austin, Texas, with locations in Dallas, Houston, and Plano as well as its hometown.

He was CEO of breakfast, brunch and lunch chain Ruby Slipper until March of 2023, when he started his own consulting firm.

Previous jobs on his 30-year-long résumé include a year as chief operating officer of “eatertainment” concept Punch Bowl Social, and nearly five years as COO of Snooze A.M. Eatery, which he helped grow from eight to 34 locations.

He was also executive vice president of operations for casual-dining brand Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and spent eight years at multiconcept group Tavistock Restaurants.

Tacodeli founder Roberto Espinosa praised Gaudreau for his experience.

“We are thrilled to welcome Peter to the Tacodeli family,” he said in a statement. “His proven track record aligns so closely with our vision for the future. We’re ready to go to the next level, and we’re excited to have Peter leading the way.”

Gaudreau said he was looking forward to helping Tacodeli grow.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to guide Tacodeli’s growth and help the brand reach our incredible potential,” he said. “Roberto has created something truly special here, and we believe the time is right to share our love of tacos.”

Tacodeli debuted in Austin in 1999 and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
