In the quick-service segment, same-store sales increased 1.8 percent in Burger King's U.S. and Canada stores in the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31. In their global stores, same-store sales increased 2.8 percent.

In the family-dining segment, same-store sales increased 1.1 percent in Denny's corporate-owned stores in the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 28. Same-store sales in franchised stores increased 0.8 percent in the same period.

In the quick-service segment, same-store sales increased 4.0 percent in Yum! Brands Inc.'s KFC Division in the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31. Same-store sales increased 3.0 percent in the Taco Bell Division and decreased 2.0 percent in the Pizza Hut Division in the same period.
In the pizza segment, same-store sales decreased 17.4 percent in Rave Restaurant Group's Pie Five Pizza Co.'s corporate-owned stores in the second quarter that ended Dec. 25. Same-store sales decreased 1.2 percent at Pizza Inn in the same period.
In the fast-casual segment, same-store sales increased 0.1 percent in Potbelly Corp.'s corporate-owned stores in the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 27.
In the coffee and snack segment, same-store sales increased 3.6 percent in Tim Hortons' U.S. stores in the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31. Same-store sales decreased 0.2 percent in Canada stores in the same period.
