Each month, Nation’s Restaurant News presents highlights of recent same-store sales results from the more than 70 public restaurant companies and divisions it tracks.
The quick-service segment had the highest rate of average same-store sales growth in the latest quarter, at 2.7%, followed by coffee/snack at 2%, and fast casual at 1.7%. Among the six segments tracked by NRN’s same-store sales report, only one — casual dining — saw lower average growth in the latest quarter than in the year-earlier quarter. Meanwhile, Wingstop led the pack in latest-quarter growth, Chili’s company-stores had positive annual comps for the first time in three years, and Papa John’s continued to feel the effects of a tumultuous couple of years.
Take a look at recent same-store sales highlights.
